Suede Season - Fall/Winter 2017

Hi chickies! What have you been hung up on lately? Any trends you're loving? Any new trips planned? As for me, I just got back from a solo camping trip (cavewoman status) up in the northern part of Minnesota called the North Shore. It's known for its hiking and its gorgeous reds and oranges and yellows in the fall. There are a ton of overlooks on the hikes that give you great views, so it's a popular spot in October! Unfortunately, not my brightest moment, I forgot to charge my camera before the trip, so I am photo-less for a beautiful travel blog post this time. It was actually a nice little disconnection for a couple of days.

As for trends, I'm into suede right now. And I love how many options there are to incorporate it into your fall and winter wardrobes, too. I went for a skirt this fall, and paired it with this simple black bodysuit, a fuzzy black sweater, and I finished the look with some grey OTK boots.

It all has a super neutral tone to it too, which has been matching the bare trees here in Minnesota.

When the temps really start to drop, I'll add a pair of black tights with the new trendy white booties, and I'll front-tuck a chunky sweater. I think it would also look fab with an camel long-sleeve turtleneck and tall black boots. Style away, babes!

A few other ways I love to style suede:
I. SUEDE + SHEARLING JACKET - Wear it over a plain white tee, add high-waisted distressed denim, and a pair of studded booties.
II. SUEDE LEGGINGS - Rock this look with an oversized graphic tee, and either let it hang over the leggings or do a side-tuck to add more shape. Finish this look with black pointed-toe flats.
III. SUEDE OTK BOOTS - Literally over anything because they're that amazing. Over denim, over tights with dress, with a skirt, with a vintage sweatshirt. All the things with a fun OTK boot twist.
IV. SUEDE PINAFORE DRESS - Wear it alone in the summer or if you live somwhere warm. If you're like me and live in the chilly winter temps, layer it over a cropped turtleneck. Try a lacey or striped one for some added texture and detail.

Which suede look is your favorite? Style it on instagram and hashtag it so I can see, too! #hungupxme

Stay happily hung up on your favorite things, loves. Until next time!
xx, Taylor
