Turks + Caicos Islands

What's a bluer word for blue? Because I have never seen water this shade of blue in my life. Jaw-dropping lush greens + inexplicable blues. That's what Turks + Caicos is made of.

We stayed in a house near Grace Bay beach on Providenciales. We rented scooters from a local shop to buzz around + explore from Paradise Scooters. Drove to the other side of the island to visit (my favorite for obvious reasons) Taylor Bay, which you can walk out for quite a ways and the water is still only waist deep. Also, we can't go on a vacation without renting a jeep and seeing how far we can get off-roading to the best + less touristy areas. Check out the photos below to see just how stunning this place really is...

 Jeep territory.

How lucky were we to see this guy on the ocean floor when we were exploring caves. We were sure to be extra careful with him and only took him out for a few seconds. Such beautiful creatures.
The islands are known for the conch (pronounced konk) farming. You can find it in restaurants all over. I considered myself brave for actually trying it, and I have to say...pretty yummy! However, of course anything fried is pretty yummy to me.

If you have any questions about Turks + Caicos, need recommendations of where to stay or what to do while you're here, or just need some convincing to GO here, head over to my contact page. I love hearing from you!
